Lisa Foster was treated by Dr. Mitesh Shah at Indiana University Health using Synaptive technology

“Lisa Foster of Evansville, Indiana loves being a grandmother. So when she suddenly developed some strange symptoms several months ago, she panicked,” wrote Debby Knox for CBS4 Indy, in one of three TV news stories featuring Lisa’s remarkable eight-hour surgery to remove a meningioma tumor in her brain stem.

Synaptive’s technology was used in the operation. In this IndyStar video clip, posted on July 17, Dr. Mitesh Shah of Indiana University Health explains how he used BrightMatter Drive, a robotic digital microscope, to help remove the deep-rooted tumor.

In her story for WishTV, Reporter Brittany Lewis noted Lisa is now returning to doing the things she loves, such as spending time with her 19 grandchildren and planning a cruise vacation.

Thank you to Lisa, Dr. Shah and IU Health for sharing her remarkable story.

The videos are also available on IndyStar, WishTV, and CBS4 websites.
