As a Professional Engineer, Leila brings over 20 years of experience in engineering, project management and product support to Synaptive Medical where she leads the Customer Service team.  The Customer Service team is responsible for all new product implementation and installation as well as product support and maintenance.  Prior to joining Synaptive in 2013, she was a Systems Engineer at McDonald Dettwiler and Associates for eight years. There, she supported launch, assembly and on-orbit support of space robotic hardware such as Canadarm2 and Dextre on the International Space Station.  Leila has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University in Toronto and a Master of Science, specializing in small satellite constellations, from the International Space University in France.  Outside of work, she mentors with the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) and other mentorship programs in Toronto to support female engineers in their profession.
